东山头村位于福建省宁德市寿宁县平溪镇东部，博雅地名网称其位于平溪镇东部13.5公里处。村庄四面环山，无溪流。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村庄海拔在480至650米之间。村中有一口水塘，既用于防火，也供村民休闲散步，塘中养有观赏鲤鱼。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村庄位于山坡上，村南面与东溪相对，故名东山头。[5]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，吴氏始祖自下承堂迁来定居。[4]

新中国成立前村属平溪乡，1950年为第三区（平溪区）所辖。1959年村隶平溪公社；1984年公社改乡时，由东溪分出，单设东山头村委会。2013年底乡改为镇，村委会不变，归平溪镇管辖。[4]

经济[edit]

村内主要产业有水稻、茶叶、脐橙、锥栗。2021年村财收入15.30万元。[3]
