地理环境[edit]
村庄海拔560米，面积约4.7平方千米，其中山地面积较大，林地占山地的多数。[1][2][3]
地名由来[edit]
原先溪水从村前由左至右绕过，俗称“腰带水”，方言称“环”，村庄因此得名环溪。[5]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前村属平溪乡；1950年起归第三区（平溪区）的平溪乡管辖。1959年组建平溪公社，本村为其平溪大队。1965年因管理不便，从中划出，另设坂头大队；1981年为与村名一致，更名环溪大队。[4]
1984年公社改乡，设环溪村委会；2013年底乡改为镇，村委会名称保留。[4]
经济[edit]
村民收入以传统种养殖、外出务工和转移性收入为主，种植业以茶叶、稻谷、土豆、锥栗为主。2021年村财收入12.59万元。[3]
