平溪村位于福建省宁德市寿宁县西南部，是平溪镇政府所在地，也是全镇的经济、文化与政治中心。村庄依溪而建，距寿宁县城37.26公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

南宋庆元四年（1198年），周姓始祖周理自江西南康县迁入，定居于当地的厝坪当一带，周姓至今仍是村中大姓。[2][3]

1949年以前，村庄归平溪乡管辖。新中国成立后，1950年划入第三区（平溪区）；1959年建立平溪公社，村为其下的一个大队，沿用此名。1965年区的建制撤销，公社与大队名称未变。1984年公社改为乡，大队改为村委会；2013年底乡级建制撤销，村委会隶属新设的平溪镇。[3]

地名由来[edit]

村庄建在溪边一块小平地上，故名平溪。[4]

经济[edit]

村内盛产茶叶、油茶。集体经济在2021年的收入约20.63万元。[2]
