院洋村位于南阳镇东北部，距南阳镇约11公里，海拔782米[1]。古时这里是寿宁通往福安、柘荣、霞浦等地的要道，明代曾是寿宁四大隘口之一[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作「烟洋」，因一带雾多如烟，后因「烟」与「院」方言音近，演变为今名[1]。

元延祐三年（1316年），第一世祖徐煦大从浙江省泰顺县迁入，至今繁衍三十一世。明代周姓从福鼎白琳迁入，1760年温姓从福建汀州府迁入[1]。

文化[edit]

2019年12月，院洋村列入第二批国家森林乡村名单；2021年11月，被命名为2021年福建省卫生村；2022年10月，被认定为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇[1]。
