东吉洋村位于南阳镇东部，距寿宁县城约13公里，距浙江省泰顺县约23公里[1][2]。村中包括王家垅、新乾、新村、村丘、龙头坪、韦厝垅等6个自然村[1]。省道202线从村旁经过，村子距南阳高速路口约5公里[1]。

村情简介称全村共273户1282人，常住人口730人。另有青壮年355人，外出流动人口451人[1]。

村域土地总面积1.5平方千米。耕地有600亩，水田为350亩；山地有800亩[1]。
