外洋村位于斜滩镇西南部，距集镇11公里，距县城42公里，是畲族人口集中的行政村。全村有畲族79户、380人，占全村总人口的59%。村内下辖5个自然村，主要种植水稻、毛竹、茶叶与猕猴桃。[1][2][3]
历史[edit]
畲族始祖由福安县坂中等村迁居至此，至今两百多年。村中畲汉两族长期和睦相处。[1]
地理环境[edit]
海拔平均460米，全村土地面积3891亩。林地2100亩，耕地649亩；毛竹1200亩，茶园600亩。[1]
经济[edit]
红星猕猴桃150亩由畲怡园农业专业合作社种植。太子参种植40亩，水稻50亩。另外，村中还有茶叶新品种金牡丹30亩和脐橙50亩。村内的黄牛养殖场饲养黄牛100头。[1]
