新村位于斜滩镇西南部，距镇区约28公里，距县城约60公里。村内由8个自然村组成，以新村主村为名。村民以茶叶、猕猴桃、板栗等种植为主。[1][2][3]

地理环境[edit]

全村土地6376亩，其中林地5194亩。八个自然村的名字分别是岩面、下冬溪、溪乾厝、炉坑，以及地基凤、廷甲虎、新田岗，还有新村主村。[1]

经济[edit]

果木方面，猕猴桃50亩、板栗20亩、脐橙30亩。村中养有50余只黄牛，另改造了金观音茶园的配套。[1]
