寿山乡坐落于福建省宁德市屏南县的东部边界，乡政府设在寿山村，全乡管辖14个行政村。它的东南面与蕉城区洪口相连，东北面邻近周宁县礼门乡，北面是双溪镇，西面是棠口镇，南面是代溪镇。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清雍正十三年（1735年）屏南自古田县分治，全县当时设16个都。[3][4]

乡名取自乡政府所在的寿山村。该村旧称“观寿兜”，又有“官树兜”之说，后因旧名含义不妥，雅化为“寿山”。[2][5]

民国初年，此地归东二区管辖。1940年区制撤销，改设镇乡，此地划入康里镇。新中国成立后，先是第二区康寿乡与第四区寿山乡分治此地，此后并入双溪区。[4]

1958年9月，人民公社在此地推行，所属公社为高峰公社，也就是双溪公社。1984年9月公社体制撤销，寿山乡人民政府随之设立，生产大队改称村民委员会，生产小队则改为村民小组。[4]

原环境保护部于2014年9月把国家级生态乡镇的称号授予寿山乡，依据的是2012至2013年度的考核。2021年2月，寿山乡在福建省2018至2020年度省级文明村镇社区评选中上榜。[2]

地理环境[edit]

全乡面积106.5平方千米。地势上，约六成为海拔750米左右的丘陵山地，约三成为海拔350米以下的低山丘陵与河谷，其余一成为海拔850米以上的高山或高丘平地。[3]

乡境属中亚热带季风气候，年平均气温16.8摄氏度，无霜期240至310天，年降雨量1750毫米；白玉等低海拔地区的无霜期可达335天。[3]

人口民族[edit]

2000年全乡有1722户8540人，博雅地名网载此数，未注明统计口径。[3]

经济[edit]

粮食作物以水稻、甘薯为主。乡域内出产油茶、草菇、花菇、毛木耳、高山绿茶、米烧兔、反季节蔬菜、枇杷、油柰和石板材等，其中白玉一带以油茶为主，降龙至前圪一线以毛竹为主，郑洋、太保一带则多种食用菌。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

乡内山势高峻，奇峰林立，主要景点有卧女峰、蝙蝠洞、公鸡寨、国婆峰和龙井峰。[3]
