中秋村是路下乡西部的行政村，地处中山地貌，以中低山为主，平均海拔800米。全村辖1个自然村际下。村名的来由是建村时正值中秋佳节。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

建村时正值中秋佳节，村名由此而来。[1]

建国前，村子归第一区岭头乡管辖。长桥公社时期（1958至1962年）设中秋大队，1963年以后改由路下公社统辖。1970年，大队机关迁至磜下，名称不变；1984年后又迁回中秋。同年改设路下乡中秋村委会，名称保留至今。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域地貌以中低山为主，坡度陡峭，山地土壤以黄壤为主，水田土壤以渗育型和潴育型水稻土为主。村地属中亚热带山地气候，四季分明。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

全村108户、578人，其中中心村278人，劳力220人，外出100人。博雅地名网所载耕地747亩、林地13000亩、毛竹3500亩，人均耕地1.3亩（年份未注）。[2]
