历史沿革[edit]
1957年以前，此村位于长桥第一区的路下乡境内。1958至1962年归长桥公社，大队名为发竹坑；1963年以后并入路下公社；1984年改设路下乡发竹坑村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村海拔平均约1030米，属亚热带季节性山地气候，平均气温15.4℃。全村土地面积约1.1万亩，其中耕地518亩，林地9518亩。后门山在1984年4月和1988年5月两度发生断裂与滑坡，2004年至2005年，乡党委和政府为保障群众生命财产安全，组织群众迁离危险区域。[2]
人口[edit]
全村共121户492人，划为4个村民小组。其中37户156人已搬迁至安置点，村中通水、通电、通有线电视，村道已硬化为水泥路。[2]
经济[edit]
村内矿产资源丰富，其中闪长岩石材品质优良，储量约2000万立方米，目前开采已初具规模。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有仙人岩，依山而建，地势险要，风景独特，是盛夏纳凉的好去处。[2]
革命历史[edit]
解放战争前，此地在叶飞等人的带领下组织游击活动，一批本村青年加入游击队；解放后，其中一人曾担任屏南县县长。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，发竹坑村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
