洋头寨村位于屏南县南部，在文笔山下，距县城约9公里，距甘棠乡政府约9公里。全村辖2个自然村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村前有一片平地，称漈上洋；山头建有寨子，故名洋头寨。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清末局势不靖，村庄四周筑起城墙，并设寨门，俗称荣华寨，村民遇有外来危险时便在寨内避难和防守。现寨门保存完好。[1]
1958年前后归甘棠公社，设洋头寨大队；1984年改设甘棠乡洋头寨村委会，地名沿用至今。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村里现有约1000人，273户，设12个村民小组。[1]
经济[edit]
村域内有南纸林约1700亩，种有水蜜桃约100亩、反季节蔬菜约700亩；近年有农户大量种植龙眼梅等水果。[1]
文化[edit]
村内保留清代古民居建筑。洋头寨村于2021年11月获评福建省卫生村，评定单位为福建省爱卫办。[1]
