南峭村位于屏城乡西北部，距县城约3.6公里，村名取自所在地鸡鸣山东南山下地势陡峭。村中传承八卦棍一门武术，据村情简介，清道光年间由莆田传入。[1][2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，南峭属棠口区古厦乡。1958年划入棠口公社，称南峭大队；1960年改属城关公社。1984年起设屏城乡南峭村委会，村名至今未改。[2][3]

村情[edit]

据屏城乡人民政府2025年发布的村情简介，全村256户691人，设11个村民小组，辖南峭、汤坑、甲第、井后4个自然村。村民多靠种植水稻、毛竹和反季节蔬菜增收。百度百科记户籍人口722人，未注年份，此处不取。[1][4]

文化[edit]

此棍术以防守为先、攻防兼顾，招法丰富，常见的有砍、撩、挑、斩等。村中设有八卦棍训练基地，近年曾修缮。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2014年11月列入第三批中国传统村落名录；2021年2月入选福建省2018至2020年度省级文明村镇社区名单；2021年11月被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年12月被评为「2021年宁德市乡村文化振兴示范村」。[2]
