溪坪社区位于屏城乡境内，在县城南侧，距县城中心约2公里，道路交通方便，被称为县城南大门。社区名称来自村庄建在溪边一块平地上的地势。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年至1957年，溪坪归古峰镇管辖；1958年为棠口公社溪坪大队，1960年改归城关公社。1981年改为屏城公社溪坪大队，1984年设屏城乡溪坪村委会。2013年由村改为社区，设立屏城乡溪坪社区居民委员会，名称一直沿用至今。[2][3]

社区概况[edit]

社区辖3个自然村和10个村民小组，共524户1585人。居民以种植粮食作物和外出务工为主要收入来源。[1]

社区内有屏城中心小学和屏城初级中学，并设屏城卫生院与社区卫生所。辖区落户的家居、工艺品、塑料纺织等企业有20多家，方便居民就近就业。[1][2]
