村名来自村前的一条溪水，溪水平缓安静。村庄平均海拔约790米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年公社化后设棠口公社安溪大队，1984年改设棠口乡安溪村委会，2018年撤乡设镇后改称棠口镇安溪村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植蔬菜、芙蓉李、花生和板栗为主，并采摘野生鸳鸯果；村中多数人外出务工经商。[1]
