高溪村属屏南县长桥镇，村址位于柏源溪与后圪溪的交汇处，东、西、南三面与古田县毗邻。[2] 村名来源于村子建在两溪的汇合处，从村中望向上游，溪水的位置比村子还高。[1]

2021年12月，高溪村被认定为福建省「一村一品」示范村，主产茶树菇；2023年和2024年，村庄连续被评为宁德市「金融信用村」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属古田县管辖，解放初期这里曾是乡政府驻地。[2] 1957年，此地隶属长桥区高溪乡；1958年划入长桥公社，称高溪大队。1984年改设长桥乡高溪村委会，1993年撤乡后属长桥镇。[1]

文化遗存[edit]

村内留存烟台顶、防风固沙林和清代林氏祠堂，林氏迁居此地已逾500年。[2]
