上牛山村在屏南县西南部，距县城33.5公里，距长桥镇政府所在地约1.5公里。[2] 村子东面与长桥村相连，西面接下牛山村，村落沿厝坪溪展开。全村辖2个村民小组，共97户412人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村址在牛姆石山麓上方，因而得名上牛山。[1][2] 旧属古田县，据百度百科，最早在此落居的是郑姓；旧村约有三百年历史。[2]

1957年，此地归长桥区上牛山乡管辖。1958年改为长桥公社的上牛山大队，1984年设村委会，1993年随乡改镇后属长桥镇。[1][2]
