历史沿革[edit]
代溪一带原属古田县。清代屏南建县后，此地分属十四、十五、十六都。[3] 民国时期曾设区、设乡，1956年全县合并为4个区，此地属熙岭区。[3]
1959年，红专公社改称黛溪公社。[3] 1984年撤销人民公社建制，设立乡人民政府，原生产大队改为村民委员会。[3] 1993年7月，福建省民政厅批复撤销黛溪乡，设立代溪镇。[3]
2020年7月，全国爱卫会命名代溪镇为「2017-2019周期国家卫生乡镇」。[1]
地理环境[edit]
镇域位于屏南、古田、宁德三地交界处。[4] 东南部接蕉城区，南面与古田县相连，西面与熙岭乡相接，北面与棠口镇、寿山乡相连。[1][5]
人口民族[edit]
2017年常住人口14513人。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
佛仔厝位于北墘村，是一座清代古民居，始建于清光绪七年（1881年），光绪三十三年（1907年）完工。[6] 屋内人物木雕众多，当地称雕成的小人为「佛仔」，屋名由此而来。[6]
