地理环境[edit]
村落面积1.4平方公里，辖1个自然村、7个村民小组。[1]

全村现有116户，510多人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
章岭旧属古田县，曾称古田县双溪二十八都章岭村。[1] 1950年属双溪区樟岭乡；1958年称双溪樟岭大队；1984年起归双溪乡，成为樟岭村委会，1986年双溪乡改镇，村委会隶属双溪镇。2019年10月，县政府发文统一行政村名用字，改称章岭村委会。[1]
文化[edit]
村中现存明代古庙一座，建于明天顺五年（1461年）。村边有屏南至政和的古步行道，沿途有公鸡岩、母鸡岩等古迹。[1]
2021年11月，村庄被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
