下七房村距双溪镇区13公里，海拔850米，位于上七房村的下方，村名由此得来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在1950年属第四区下七房乡，此后1958年并入双溪公社，成为下七房大队；1984年随双溪乡设立而改设村委会；1986年双溪乡改镇，改称双溪镇下七房村委会。[1]
