北溪村位于古田县北部，是凤埔乡的一个行政村。东与东溪村相邻，南与西溪村相接，西与南平市交界，北与建瓯市相连。村庄距县城约37公里，距乡政府约22公里。[1]

村名的来历是此地位于平湖溪北侧。本村旧称二十一都。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村内有白岩洞自然风景区。据博雅地名网，该洞在明天启年间（公元1621年）已有名胜之称。[1]
