新华村位于古田县翠屏湖畔，属泮洋乡，辖新华、长基厅、凤梅亭3个自然村，京台高速泮洋互通口设在该村境内。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄原在古田旧城的平原地段，1958年因古田溪水电站蓄水形成翠屏湖，村民迁往现址定居，同时在长基厅自然村修筑了拦河坝。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

1958年移民迁来定居，村名因此取“新华”。[2]

现状[edit]

全村193户647人，党员28名。村民的生产以食用菌和水果为主，村内有一条省道通过。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予新华村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年12月，福建省绿化委员会授予新华村「2022年福建省森林村庄」称号；2023年10月，新华村列入「2023年福建省金牌旅游村」名单。[2]
