地名与沿革[edit]
村名取自村两侧有小河、中间为田坂的地势（博雅地名网）。解放后此地划入第六区永安片，村名为坂中；公社化后（1958年）编为吉巷公社的坂中大队，1984年恢复村制，称吉巷乡坂中村委会（博雅地名网）。[1]
据古田县人民政府网站2020年的介绍，古田溪水电站拦水形成翠屏湖后，坂中村整村搬迁到湖畔，村庄的发展自此与翠屏湖紧密相连。湖畔原有的俱乐部如今改作移民文化馆。[3]
产业[edit]
村内发展了水蜜桃、油柰、芙蓉李等水果，同时以银耳为主的食用菌生产较为集中（博雅地名网）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
村子于2019年12月被列为第一批国家森林乡村。2020年12月，它被定为2019年度福建省“一村一品”示范村（银耳），同月又获「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」的认定。2021年6月，村庄进入福建省第四批省级传统村落之列。2021年11月，获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2025年3月，获「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」认定（博雅地名网）。[1][2]
