宁洋村位于大甲镇东南部，属山区，适宜种植水稻、茶叶等农作物。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：村子建在田洋旁，取生活安宁之意。[1]

宁洋村1949年归杉洋区；1979年才独立设立宁洋大队，此前的1963年村子属大甲公社林峰大队；1984年改设大甲乡宁洋村委会。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

清乾隆元年，始祖如山李公自杉洋龙潭房迁到川前定居，此后两百多年间，村中留下了丰富的历史遗产。[2]

村中古民居、祠堂、祖厝和神宫保存较多，神宫内还保留有数百年前的文物。[2]
