前桃村位于大甲镇东北部，与邹洋村、里桃村相邻，距大甲镇政府所在地6.5公里。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是：原先前桃与里桃之间有一座山坡状如桃形，此村位于其前，故名。[1]

前桃村是老区基点村。村子1949年属杉洋区，1963年归大甲公社前桃大队，1984年改设大甲乡前桃村委会。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村子历来以农业为主，兼营农林畜牧业。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

岩富自然村孥公王侯庙前有一株古罗汉松，博雅地名网称其植于周代，胸径134公分，树高接近15米。[2]

岩富自然村的叶腊石矿脉，博雅地名网称储量达480万吨以上，未注年份。[2]
