大甲村是大甲镇的镇政府所在地，地处宁德、罗源与古田三县交界处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名与竹有关：建村时村中竹林连片，方言里“竹”与“甲”读音相近，故称大甲；村子此前名为“版竹”，取自村中一片茂密的毛竹林。[1][2]

解放战争时期，叶飞等老一辈革命家曾在村中开展地下革命活动，该村因此是老区基点村。[1][2]

1974年开工、1978年竣工的柏洋水库位于村北柏洋自然村，由全村劳力以义务工建成，库容51万立方米，饮用、灌溉两用。[2]

2026年1月，大甲村入选福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

溪边里自然村有保福寺，为北宋建隆二年（961年）建成的古刹，寺在海拔1231米的孔雀岩下，内有大雄宝殿与观音堂。[2]

五境堂又称福应堂，建于1738年。村中原分五个境，各境信奉的神不同，村民共同信奉林九娘，每年正月十一举行迎神活动，各境轮流请客，称「十一午」。[2]
