汶潭村是福建省宁德市古田县水口镇下辖的行政村，位于镇南部山区，316国道七公里处，与南平、闽清、尤溪等县邻近。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

相传此处原有一处溪潭，一户翁姓人家想据为己有，故称翁潭，后改称汶潭。[1]

1958年归谷口公社，设汶潭大队；1970年划入莪洋公社；1984年为莪洋镇下的汶潭村委会；1986年改隶水口镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，汶潭村经福建省农业农村厅认定，入选「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
