碗厂村位于古田县西北部，在古南公路边，东与溪头村相接，西邻凤都林场，南连上坪村，北与南平市洋后镇良坑村交界。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村中陈氏始祖于清乾隆年间（约1773年）从德化迁入，定居后繁衍至今。1961年设立碗厂行政村，辖南楼、赖坑、石楼梯、山后、田口五个自然村；1979年，南楼、赖坑和石楼梯三个自然村划归凤都林场管辖。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内保留着一座民国时期建造的炮台，建于1925年，为四层土木结构。[1]

经济[edit]

村中水电资源丰富，已建双溪亭、碗厂山后两座小型水电站，白石林、奎金山电站在建。瓷器生产是村里的传统产业，1976年起由手工改为电器化生产，规模随之扩大，产品销往国内外。[1]
