樟厅村在鹤塘镇东南，离镇政府约9公里。村名与开村时的情形有关：村民由路上村迁来，清理山场后地形似厅，场中有几棵樟树。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后，村子隶属第七区。1958年归鹤塘公社，当时为樟厅大队；1984年改由鹤塘乡管辖，设樟厅村委会。[1]

村中古民居数量多，保存较完整。2019年6月，樟厅村被纳入第五批中国传统村落之列。该村还获评「福建省乡村治理示范村」和「福建省美丽乡村」。[1][2]

2023年2月，樟厅村入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
