廷洋村位于闽江东部，与闽清交界，海拔800米左右，距镇区27公里，是黄田镇较偏远的行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子最初建在亭边一块较平坦的田洋中，取名“陈洋”，后演变为“廷洋”。[1]

1949年属第五区，1958年成立廷洋大队，隶属谷口公社；1970年归莪洋公社；1984年，它成为莪洋镇辖下的廷洋村委会，1990年才改属黄田镇。[1]

经济[edit]

村民多在外地务工、经商，部分留在旧村务农，也有人在黄田种植马蹄笋，农闲时到城镇打零工。[1]
