三保村在古田县城西南约13公里，202省道穿村，古黄公路中段离合福高速铁路古田站约1公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
一种说法认为，村名来自唐末黄巢起义军在此山险林密之地设寨，寨子原称“三寨堡”，后简称“三保”。[1]
1958年成立三保大队，隶属谷口公社；1984年改为莪洋镇三保村委会；1990年改属黄田镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村中的聚落分为官村、四保、过溪、洋中四片，建有自来水供水站，基础设施较为完善。[1]
经济[edit]
村民以农业为主，种植白木耳和茶薪菇，近年来脐橙种植发展较快。[1]
