香峰村处于黄田镇的东北部一带，海拔200多米，距镇区18公里，是镇内较偏远的行政村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村庄原建在山峰顶上，早先称“上峰”，后改称香峰。[1]
1949年设香峰村，属第五区；1958年成立香峰大队，1970年归莪洋公社，1984年成为莪洋镇香峰村委会，1990年改属黄田镇。[1]
经济[edit]
村子以粮食生产为主，山地多为林地。[1]
