汶洋村距黄田镇区约5公里。村北山谷中的一条小溪灌溉着一大片田洋，当地俗称“水好”，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初属第五区，1958年为谷口公社的汶洋大队，1970年归莪洋公社，1984年成为莪洋镇的汶洋村委会，1990年改属黄田镇。[1]

2002年，多数村民迁往横山新村居住，旧村仅余少数住户。[1]

经济[edit]

农户以种植水稻、马蹄笋和蔬菜为主，青壮年多在外地务工。[1]

文化[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予汶洋村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
