梅坪村是大桥镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东南部山区，距镇区约11公里，百度百科称它是少数民族行政村[2]。村名的来历是先民落居此地时，平坪上仅有一株梅树[1]。百度百科另载，该村古时属古田邵南里的四十六都，由梅坪与后尾洋两个自然村合成[2]。

2021年11月，梅坪村获福建省爱卫办认定为「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1949年梅坪归第四区，列为梅坪村；1958年划入大桥公社，改称梅坪大队；1984年起称大桥镇梅坪村委会[1]。
