村子处在古田人工湖边，由此得名。1960年设湖滨大队，1984年起改称湖滨村民委员会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

全村530户、1570人，党员37人（博雅地名网，未注年份）。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村里山地900亩，耕地162亩，人均耕地不足0.2亩，人多地少，发展空间有限。[1]
