极乐村是福建省宁德市古田县城东街道下辖的行政村，位于古田县东郊翠屏湖畔。村名取自村中的极乐寺。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年设立极乐村，1958年成立极乐大队；文化大革命期间改名立新大队，1981年起重新称极乐大队；1984年起称极乐村民委员会。[1]
1958年因古田溪水电站建设，村民从旧城关迁出，后靠安置在今村辖的三个自然村中。[1]
人口民族[edit]
全村273户、1025人，均为移民（博雅地名网，未注年份）。村下辖极乐、后坵里、发竹湾三个自然村。[1]
经济[edit]
村里耕地仅205亩，村民人均耕地不足0.2亩。改革开放后，村民转向食用菌，尤其是银耳的工厂化生产，博雅地名网称该村曾被称为「古田县银耳生产专业村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
辖区内有极乐寺、城隍庙和溪山书画院。[1]
文化[edit]
2022年10月，该村被福建省农业农村厅认定为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇；2024年6月，极乐村入选福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村名单；2025年11月，极乐村成为福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村。[1]
