下岐村位于东冲半岛最南端的一个天然海湾之内，是北壁乡下辖的行政村，全村400户，辖大透、城顶2个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于赤色海岸的下方，因此得名。[1]

海洋渔业[edit]

村子濒临闽东渔场，海域广阔，渔业资源丰富，养殖业发达。自古是渔船靠泊、装卸、补给、避风的处所，海洋捕捞可远达福建三大渔场及外海。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设下岐生产大队；1984年改设下岐村民委员会。[1]
