河山村坐落在东冲半岛西侧的山地，东至石门槛，西达星顶山，南面隔海与马祖相对；全村326户，辖5个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村名与村中一座何姓士人墓的名字谐音有关，墓名何士墓，村子背山面海，故称河山。[1]

历史人文[edit]

宋代村中出过一位进士，名何明登。村中仍留有他的一对旗杆石，以及其母的坟墓。[2]

1978年，村西南里许发现一处兵器冢，墓中出土了刀枪残迹与石刻龙头。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

河山秀峰禅寺始建于明代，是村中的古寺。村口有两棵古榕树，相传已有千年。[1][2]
