西宅村位于柏洋乡东南部，西面与塔后村交界，东面与前宅村为邻，北面与洋里村为邻，南面与横江村为邻。村辖3个自然村、8个村民小组，共313户1201人（村情简介，未注年份）。[3]

2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子原名新家宅，因位于西边而改称西宅。1958年8月，村中设西宅生产大队；1984年，大队改为西宅村。[1]

地理环境与经济[edit]

村内茶园700亩，农田872亩，旱地90亩。竹林活立面积为4562.7亩；毛竹立木量约210万根，松木活立面积2500多亩。村中有铁矿两座。[2][3]

村民以毛竹、松木、蘑菇、茶叶和太子参为主要物产，设有茶叶加工厂和毛竹加工厂。[2][3]
