本村位于柏洋乡东北部，北与柘荣县宅中乡相接，南面是长岩村，东面是戴家山村，西面是西坑村。全村373户、1367人，村民小组7个，党员44人（村情简介，未注年份）。[1][2]
2021年11月，村被授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子原名岙头里，此地多蝉，蝉衍为禅，故称禅洋。1958年8月，村中设禅洋生产大队；1984年，大队改为禅洋村。[1]
经济与文化[edit]
村中耕地共1136亩，水田占1023亩，旱地为113亩。[2]
2008年村农民人均纯收入为5256元。村中现留有孙氏宗祠两座。[2]
