小竹湾村位于霞浦县城东北部，离水门乡镇区25公里，由三个村民小组组成，全村170户627人[1]。村委会的名称取自小坡、步竹、大湾三个村各一字[2]。

地理环境[edit]

平均海拔600米，年均气温约15摄氏度，村域面积接近16平方公里。林地约1.5万亩，耕地800多亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年先设小竹湾生产大队；1984年政社分开，大队改称小竹湾村，并组建村民委员会[2]。
