里洋村位于水门畲族乡东北部，离镇区6公里，下辖4个自然村；全村855人分住232户，少数民族137人[1]。村名的由来是：外边有一个大洋，村里有一个小洋，取名里洋。清康熙年间称里洋仔，后来去掉了「仔」字[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办确认里洋村为「2021年福建省卫生村」[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
1958年先设里洋生产大队；1984年政社分开后，大队更名为里洋村，同时组建村民委员会[2]。
