桥头村位于水门畲族乡北部，北邻福鼎市赤溪一带，离镇区13公里。全村下辖18个自然村，共256户1256人[1]。村名源于进村道路上的一座花岗石小桥[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村内为丘陵，山地海拔多在200至600米之间，年平均气温约16.5摄氏度，年降水量1100至1800毫米。山林15355亩，茶园1650亩，耕地862亩，森林覆盖率78%，竹木资源丰富[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年先设桥头生产大队；1984年政社分开，大队改称桥头村，同时组建村民委员会[2]。
