村子面前是一片海，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年8月公社化时期，此地设为前洋生产大队。1984年8月恢复乡政府，大队随即改称前洋村并组成村民委员会，原大队就此撤销。[1]

概况[edit]

村中外出务工者375人。全村合计584户、2273人。耕地627亩，其中旱地343亩。养殖以海带为大宗，另有龙须菜、鲍鱼与海参。[1]

前洋村曾是新农村建设试点、革命老区基点与党建示范村。[1]
