八堡村是福建省宁德市霞浦县沙江镇下辖的行政村，在镇域西部，下设八堡、坑后门、畚箕湾三个村，合计586户、2127人，少数民族117人。村内的八堡城堡是明清时期的古城堡，建于明代，清同治年间重修。[1][2][3]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，开基时有八姓人迁入此地，故名八堡。[1]

人口与民族[edit]

586户，2127人（博雅地名网，未注明统计口径），其中少数民族117人；坑后门与畚箕湾两村为少数民族聚居村。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

国土总面积约10892.9亩；耕地约2635.5亩，森林面积约6030亩（国家级生态林约1530亩）；村落占地262.95亩，古城堡占地34.85亩。[1]

农业为主导产业，经济作物包括茶叶、贡柑、杨梅、枇杷、脐橙、柚子、马铃薯与槟榔芋。八堡洋一带是霞浦县的产粮区之一。[1]

村落格局[edit]

旧城堡内全部是古居民，新村沿公路建设。古城堡有东、西两门，西门设瓮城，城内由上、中、下三条街道连接，并环以跑马道；三条街的房屋年代各不相同：明代的旧屋多在上街，清代的在中街，清末至民国初的则在下街。村前两大水池是村落布局的中心。[1]

八堡城堡[edit]

八堡城堡全长421米，以乱毛石干砌而成，设东、西两个城门。始建于何年，两处资料不同：霞浦县人民政府网站作明正德五年（1510年），百度百科则作1553年，即明嘉靖三十二年；城堡在清同治四年（1865年）曾经重修。城堡用于居住与防守，以抵御沿海的倭寇。[5][6]

2010年，城堡定为霞浦县级文物；2013年又定为省级文物。城内留有明清时期的古建筑。[5]

荣誉[edit]

2017年8月，八堡村进入「福建省第二批省级传统村落」名录；2019年6月，又列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录。[1][4]

2021年11月，八堡村经福建省爱卫办评定，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；同月，被认定为「2021年宁德市一村一品专业村」；同年12月，又被确定为「2021年度福建省一村一品示范村」，主导产品为柚子。[1]

2024年6月，八堡村入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
