水潮村是福建省宁德市霞浦县沙江镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西南部，毗邻东吾洋，距县城约25公里。村里558户，分为2个自然村与11个村民小组。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，溪水流向村头，海水四面涌来，故名水潮。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年8月，全国推行人民公社化，原农业社改为生产大队，当年于此立起水潮生产大队。[1]

1984年8月恢复乡级政权、政社分开，水潮生产大队改称水潮村，由村民选出村民委员会；此后生产大队撤销，改设水潮村民委员会。[1]

人口[edit]

全村558户，博雅地名网载总人口2207人，劳动力约1186人；党员56人。[1][2]

辖区国土面积约7793.5亩，其中耕地约1488.8亩，林地约3120亩，海上滩涂养殖约500亩，四季柚种植约5000亩。村民的生计主要来自陆地种植与滩涂养殖。[2]
