沙江社区是福建省宁德市霞浦县沙江镇下辖的社区，位于县境南部，濒临东吾洋北岸，所在地形成沙江半岛的一部分，距县城约20公里。[1][2][3]

地名与沿革[edit]

社区的名字来自居委会驻地沙江。[1]

1949年初已有居民组；1956年，合作化运动高涨之际设居委会，其后一度并入沙江大队；1976年另设沙江居委会，2005年改为沙江社区居委会。2013年，原沙江街道居委会经上级批准更名为沙江社区。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

社区辖区面积约1.2平方千米，耕地、山地和林地都在沙江村的范围之内。社区设4个居民小组，博雅地名网载有1180人，其中常住人口717人，共346户。[1][2]

社区的居民分布在多个村庄之中，竹江、涵江、南屏、小马等村均有居民，但居住最集中的地方是沙江村。[1][2]
