沙江镇是福建省宁德市霞浦县下辖的镇，位于县境中南部，北岸临东吾洋，镇政府驻南屏村，距霞浦县城约10.4公里。全镇辖1个社区和20个行政村。[1][2][3]

镇域以养殖业和农业为主，沿海村庄养殖海带、海蛎和紫菜，内陆村庄多种蜜柚、荔枝和茶叶。[1]

地名[edit]

据博雅地名网，此地靠山面海，古时海滩多沙，原称「沙洽」，东吾洋内又有竹江岛屹立，海面景致开阔，遂改称今名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代，此地分属安东乡下的安民、新南、新北和连海里。[2]

此地在1950年代初属第六区。公社化之后（1958年）分设沙江与溪南两个公社。1960年成立沙江区，1966年区被撤销，改回公社管委会；1968年管委会换成革命委员会，1980年再度设回管委会。1984年8月起称沙江镇。[1]

古县村、沙塘里村、沙塘街村和大墓里村，博雅地名网的各村页面均列为松山街道下辖，其中沙塘里村的页面注明该村于2020年6月划归松山街道管理。这四村的地理位置与村情仍在本镇的村庄名单中，它们由松山街道管理。[1]

百度百科载，截至2019年末，户籍人口为41044人。博雅地名网另写作约2.23万人，未注明统计口径，与前者相差悬殊，故只在此列出。[1][2]

镇域的东面与长春镇相邻，南边临东吾洋，西边以盐田港为界；镇域北侧与盐田畲族乡、松山街道相接，西南一侧挨着溪南镇。[2]

经济与特产[edit]

养殖业包括海蛎、海带和对虾，种植业以水稻为主；茶叶、荔枝、杨梅、水蜜桃和柑橘等果茶亦有出产。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

八堡城堡在八堡村，建有东、西两门，西门设瓮城，城墙以乱毛石干砌而成，全长421米。始建年代有两说：霞浦县人民政府网站作明正德五年（1510年），百度百科作嘉靖三十二年，即1553年；此城堡在清同治四年（1865年）经过重修。2010年被列为霞浦县文物保护单位，2013年列为福建省文物保护单位。[5][7]

竹江汐路桥连接竹江村与小马村，是一条横跨海埕的石板路，涨潮时没入水中，退潮后方可通行，全长3651米。据霞浦县人民政府网站，它是国内目前发现的最长的清代海埕石路桥。桥始建于清嘉庆十六年（1811年），2009年被确定为福建省文物保护单位。[6][8]

竹江村的天后宫分前澳、后澳两座，据博雅地名网为清代古建筑。前澳天后宫的县级文物身份定于1986年，省级身份则在2006年取得。[1][4]

黄瓜山遗址在小马村，为新石器时代至青铜时代的遗址，1989年发掘。2020年学者将其遗存命名为「黄瓜山文化」，2025年8月列入「福建省第三批省级考古遗址公园」。[1][9]

屏峰山贝丘遗址在南屏村的屏峰山上，属新石器时代末期，占地将近三万平方米。这处遗址在2016年获准进行考古试掘，2025年末被纳入省级文物保护单位的第十一批名单。[1][10]
