地名与沿革[edit]

上砚与下砚两处海面的岩石形似砚台，村建在砚石的东北方，故名。[1]

1958年设下砚生产大队，1984年改为下砚村，并选举产生村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年6月，下砚村入选福建省第四批省级传统村落名单。[1]
