白露坑村是溪南镇东北部的畲族行政村，位于葛洪山下，据百度百科载由5个自然村组成。村内是畲族小说歌的发祥地，畲族歌王钟学吉出生于此。[1][3]

地名与源流[edit]

村旧名白虎坑，又称红坑。村东一座山丘形似伏虎，故有此名。[2]

据族中传说，孙七公原名希堂，明代由福安迁入霞浦，其后裔在此繁衍，成为钟姓的主派。孙七公以梦中所见的三溪合流之处为定居地，汇流成的溪水被称为「福源溪」。[2]

文化[edit]

白露坑是畲族小说歌（长连抄本正歌）的发祥地。畲族歌王钟学吉生于咸丰六年（1856年），七岁入私塾，光绪元年（1875年）开始设馆课童，并编写《花名歌》《鸟名歌》等知识性歌谣。[2]

光绪二十四年（1898年），刑部主事钟大焜来村主修《福宁府颍川钟氏宗谱》。[2]

村中保存有光绪辛巳年（1881年）雕刻的龙头祖杖，以及一座四柱盘龙的香亭。[2]

1985年，白露坑被列为中央畲族文化调查点之一。[2]

村人钟昌达（1955年至1979年）在对越自卫反击战中牺牲，被追认为革命烈士。[2]
