雉溪村在牙城镇西部，距镇区约7公里，辖7个自然村。常住人口约200人，全村396户、1438人。村民以紫菜加工、农产品种植、淡水养殖和外出务工为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子原名池溪，因村前有一条溪而得名；后来音近讹为雉溪，沿用至今。[2]

1958年设雉溪生产大队，1984年改为雉溪村并设立村民委员会。[2]
